I haven't had Internet at home. I used to be able to steal some signals from some unaware neighbours, but now, I get nothing. I went down to the French Connection cafe downstairs, and they told me that the Internet isn't working! Ugh. The phone and Internet company here pretty much has a monopoly here in the UAE, and when something goes wrong, it doesn't seem like they would come to fix it right away. I mean, why would they? There are no competitors so you are a trap market!
I still don't have my residency visa. Until I get this, I won't be able to apply for Internet for my apartment. My life has been pretty uneventful without Internet at home. I mean, it's not like I do anything productive or worthwhile most of the time when I am online, but at least I feel like I am doing something.
By the way, thanks to everybody who have tried to think of a cool name for my cat. I've decided to settle with Dewey. i took her to the vet yesterday. Many of you may be glad to hear that Dewey has a clean bill of health. According to her teeth, she's about four months old. I will post more pictures soon, as soon as I can have Internet at home. She's a darling. I've only had her for three days, and I am already so smitten and so in love with her.
I swear when I have more consistent and regular Internet, I will post more often and more regularly.
